ComBE Five

ComBE Five® is a sterile, whitish turbid suspension for injection. It contains purified toxoids of Diphtheria and Tetanus, inactivated Pertussis organisms, purified Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) produced by recombinant DNA technology, and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) capsular polysaccharide conjugated to Tetanus protein.

Composition

Each 0.5 mL dose contains:
Diphtheria Toxoid≥ 25 Lf (≥ 30 IU)
Tetanus Toxoid≥ 5 Lf (≥ 40 IU)
B. pertussis (Whole Cell)≥ 4 IU
HBsAg (Recombinant)≥ 10 mcg
Hib Polysaccharide (PRP)10 mcg (conjugated)
Adsorbed on Aluminium Phosphate0.50 mg Al+++
Preservative: Thiomersal0.005 % w/v

Clinical Particulars

Indications
Indicated for active immunization of infants from 6 weeks of age against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, and invasive diseases caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b.

Undesirable Effects

Very Common(≥1/10)
  • Pyrexia (Fever)
  • Tenderness & Pain at injection site
  • Redness & Swelling
Common(≥1/100 to <1/10)
  • Irritability & Crying
  • Loss of appetite
  • Vomiting / Diarrhea
